The Step Over 

A wonderful, exciting dribble which allows you to switch direction and take on and beat defenders. As used by Ronaldo of Man Utd.

You Step Over the ball to look as though you are taking it one side and then speed off in the other direction. 

To be honest, I'm not keen on it being called the Step Over, because their

is a completely different turn already of that name. But the Step Over name seems to have stuck. I remember David Platt doing this same move on a McDonalds Advert against some little kids (over 10 years ago now) - and I think we called it the Scissors in those days.
