The
Turn And Chase
Here's
a fun exercise which involves the practice of turns.
The
secret of all turns is slowly in and quickly out.
The
player runs three quarters towards a facing standing player and
then
performs
a turn called by the coach. As the player goes into the turn, the
other player starts to run and they both spring in a race to get
back to the finishing line i.e. the starting line for the player
performing the turn.
Vary
the distance between the area where the turn is performed and the
standing player - depending on age and skill of the players - to
give each a chance.
