Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti will not be bringing in new players in January to compensate for the loss of Nicolas Anelka to injury and Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou to the African Nations Cup. France international Anelka is still struggling to shake off a calf problem and will miss the Christmas games against Birmingham and Fulham, although Ancelotti has suggested he could return for the FA Cup clash with Watford on January 3. Drogba and Kalou will miss the west London derby against Fulham on December 28 because they are heading off to link up with the Ivory Coast on Sunday ahead of the African Nations Cup in the New Year. However, Ancelotti has said he is happy to put his faith in the likes of Fabio Borini and Daniel Sturridge over the festive period and will resist the temptation to rush to the January sales. "No, I'm not changing my mind," said Ancelotti. "I didn't ask (owner) Roman (Abramovich) for new players and he has not asked me if I want them."
