Arsene Wenger has confirmed Andrei Arshavin will return to the Arsenal squad for their trip to Fulham on Saturday evening.
Arshavin has been out of action since aggravating groin and knee injuries while playing for Russia, but Wenger is confident the player will be fit for the clash at Craven Cottage.
Wenger revealed: “Arshavin should be back. Arshavin gives us an attacking option which is always very interesting. Away from home he is always very efficient.
“He is a guy that turns up at the right moment or can score himself.”
Meanwhile, Theo Walcott could also return to the squad, but a place on the bench is the most the England star can hope for.
The manager admitted: “I feel he is still a bit short because it is the first week he is back for normal training. But the good news is that he is available again.”
Wenger has also confirmed Robin van Persie would be fit to play, but Vito Mannone will continue in goal in the absence of Manuel Almunia, who is still a week away from full fitness.
