Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has said he does not expect striker Fernando Torres to return against Manchester City next Sunday. The 25-year-old - Liverpool's top goalscorer with 12 this season despite being restricted to 21 appearances by injuries – has been out since suffering a knee problem in the shock FA Cup defeat by Reading last month. Benitez revealed the Spain international is making good progress but is not yet training with the first team. He told the club's official website: "I think it will be too early." He added: "He is training with the physios and the fitness coach, but he's still not involved with the team. We will see next week how he progresses."
