Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez claims the deal to sign striker Milan Jovanovic on a free transfer has not yet been finalised by the Merseyside club.
Jovanovic’s agent has already gone on record saying the 28-year-old Serbia international would be plying his trade for the Reds next term.
"We have spoken with Rafa Benitez and he convinced us about his project for the club," the player's representative, Zoran Stojadinovic, told the Daily Mirror.
But Anfield chief Benitez was reluctant to confirm the deal to sign the Standard Liege hitman following Wednesday night’s 1-0 defeat at Arsenal in the Premier League.
The Spaniard said: “I just want to talk about the game. There are a lot of rumours in the press but we are still working and we will say something if we finalise it."
