Birmingham City forward James McFadden insists he is ready to keep taking penalties for his team, despite his miss against Manchester City last Sunday.
The Scottish international missed his chance to score in Birmingham’s goalless draw after failing to convert from the penalty spot, after Manchester City keeper Shay Given kept out McFadden’s spot-kick to deny the home side all three points.
McFadden has brushed off the disappointment and wants to be counted on the next time the Blues get their chance at a penalty shot.
“It was a poor penalty,” McFadden said in the Birmingham Mail. “I don’t know why but I changed my mind where I was going to put it. But I will be ready to take the next one.”
