Burnley striker Robbie Blake is raring to go in anticipation of this Sunday's East Lancashire derby against Blackburn, stating that winning the derby would even top winning promotion to the Premier League ranks. While winning each of their opening four home games in the Premier League, Burnley are yet to gain a point away, and Blake is looking forward to the opportunity of turning that record around when his side faces Blackburn. "It would top winning the play-off final wouldn't it?" he told The Sun. "We haven't got any away points so there'd be no better place to start than Ewood Park." The Clarets beat Sheffield United in the play-off final last May to secure their return to the Premier League table after a 33-year wait. Burnley have not beaten their East Lancashire rivals since 1979, but the teams have only met six times since, with their last meeting an FA Cup fifth-round replay in March 2005.
