Under-fire manager Phil Brown should be "moved on" so Premier League strugglers Hull can start afresh, according to former striker Dean Windass.
The Tigers have manged just two wins from their opening 10 Premier League games and Brown's future at the KC Stadium has again come under scrutiny.
Windass had two spells at the club and scored the winning goal in 2008 in the Championship play-off final at Wembley to secure the Tigers a place in the top tier of English football.
The 40-year-old, who recently confirmed his retirement from professional football, believes the time has come for Brown to move aside and allow a new manager in to move the club forward.
"I think sometimes you need a fresh change," Windass told talkSPORT Magazine.
"Phil's done a fantastic job since he's been there but I think it's time that he should get moved on and bring somebody else in."
