Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has ruled out allowing Kenwyne Jones to leave the Stadium of Light on loan but admits that he could sell the striker if a big enough bid came in. The Trinidad and Tobago international has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool with reports suggesting the Reds had made an offer to take Jones on loan until the end of the season. Speculation on Merseyside has also indicated Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez will return with a £12million offer should the Black Cats reject his loan offer. Stoke and Birmingham have also been credited with an interest in the 25-year-old who has been linked with a move away since the summer when Tottenham were rumoured to be interested. Bruce says he is becoming increasingly frustrated with the rumours of Jones leaving the club and insists he won't be allowing him to leave unless they get an offer they can refuse. "I've not had any manager enquire about any of my players," he told the Sunderland Echo "No manager - and that's usually the first port of call - has been in touch I'm pleased to say. And as for this story about Kenwyne leaving on loan - come on! "What would be the point of letting Kenwyne go out on loan somewhere? No chance. Do they not feel silly running that story? "Something - a bid - that is going to blow us away, that is different. We all know that every player has his price."
