Burnley officials say they have had no contact from Bolton over their manager Owen Coyle, who is understood to be Wanderers top target to be their new manager. The Scot, who enjoyed a successful spell with Bolton as a player, has impressed many with the job he has done at Turf Moor, gaining promotion to the Premier League last season. Having parted company with Gary Megson last week, Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside is seeking a new man at the helm but Burnley deny any approach for their boss. A Clarets spokesman told Sky Sports: “There has been no discussion about our manager's future and no contact from Bolton regarding Owen Coyle.” The 43-year-old himself insists he is fully concentrated on the job in hand at Turf Moor and refuses to be drawn on a possible switch to the Reebok. Former Wigan boss Paul Jewell and ex-Sunderland and Leeds chief Peter Reid have also been linked with the vacant manager’s role.
