Owen Coyle resisted the temptation to bring in a new striker before the transfer window closed on Monday, but Gary Cahill says the Bolton squad is strong enough to survive in the Premier League. There had been suggestions that Coyle could try and push through a late deal after he revealed that Ivan Klasnic will be missing for a month through injury, but in the end the Bolton boss decided to keep his cash in his pocket. Coyle did all of his business ahead of the deadline with Jack Wilshere, Vladimir Weiss and Stuart Holden all arriving at the Reebok Stadium. Cahill, who had also been at the centre of speculation over his future, says the squad is now good enough to get the Trotters away from the drop zone. The former Aston Villa defender: "They (the three recent signings) bring a lot of flair. We have got a lot of players who are hard-working and physical but they bring a different element.” Meanwhile, Wanderers striker Ricardo Vaz Te has joined St Johnstone on loan in order to get some regular action under his belt.
