Burnley's number two goalkeeper Diego Penny insists he is ready to step into the breach if Brian Jensen is ruled out of the clash with Hull this weekend.
First-choice Jensen is a major doubt for the vital clash against the Tigers on Saturday after damaging ankle ligaments in the 3-1 home defeat to Wigan last Saturday.
Penny is ready to step up to the plate and take his chance, although he would rather his team-mates were not injured for him to get the call from Owen Coyle.
"I always want to see my team-mates fit to play, including Brian, but in this situation I had to replace him and I did my best," he told the club's official website.
"I am waiting for my chance and if I have to play against Hull I will do my best and hopefully we will get the three points."
