On loan Chelsea striker Franco Di Santo has said he would like to stay with Blackburn beyond January.
The Argentnian forward has become a big hit at Ewood Park since completing his tempoary move to Lancashire in the summer.
The 20-year-old scored his first Premier League goal in Rovers' 3-2 victory over Burnley on Sunday and looks set to play a big part in Sam Allardyce's plans.
However, with his parent club Chelsea facing a transfer embargo, and the prospect of losing a number of their top players to the African Cup of Nations in February, Di Santo looks set to head back to Stamford Bridge in the New Year.
Di Santo, who has made just eight first team appearances during 18 months with the Blues, has now said he would rather stay at Blackburn if Chelsea aren't going to give him enough first team opportunities.
"I need to improve and gain experience,"said Di Santo.
"I need to play games and score goals. If I got back to Chelsea I will try my best but, if I stay here, I will continue my education.
"It is good for me being at Blackburn. I am very happy to be here because the manager has given me the opportunity to play. That has given me the opportunity to improve and gain experience and I hope to get better and better over the next few games.
