Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has confirmed his interest in signing striker Mario Balotelli of Internazionale.
The 19-year-old was given his Serie A debut by Mancini in 2007 and regarded as one of the hottest young properties in Italian football.
However, a number of clashes with current coach Jose Mourinho have raised doubts about his future at the San Siro with the Italian champions.
Mancini believes the former Lumezzane favourite has a bright future and would like the chance to work with Balotelli again.
He told the News of the World: "I would bring Mario here because he is young and has great potential to be world class.
"He can resolve games and I never had any complaints about him."
