Real Madrid defender Marcelo was shown a red card and sent off for a reckless scissor tackle on Barcelona's Cesc Fabregas during the Spanish Super Cup second-leg game between the two sides on Wednesday. The foul sparked an injury-time brawl in which Mesut Ozil and David Villa were also shown red cards, and Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho appeared to put his hand into Barcelona assistant coach Tito Vilanova's eye.
