Burnley boss Owen Coyle feels right-back Tyrone Mears could do a decent job for England - if selected by Fabio Capello. The Three Lions coach has seen Liverpool’s Glen Johnson forced out of his squad to face Brazil in Qatar on Saturday while Aston Villa defender Luke Young has now retired from international football. Capello will almost certainly start with Manchester United’s versatile defender Wes Brown this weekend, with Villa midfielder James Milner able to provide cover. Veteran Gary Neville and youngster Micah Richards seemingly have work to do in order to return to the England squad and Coyle is backing the claim of Mears. The Clarets boss said: “Tyrone has been outstanding for us and would not let anyone down. He has played against and handled the best around this season. "I have told him to keep up that sort of consistency with us, that is the priority. But he would do himself justice in an England shirt too. "I think Fabio Capello has seen him this season. I don't want to tell him his job, but there are not many better around than Tyrone at the moment."
