Bolton boss Gary Megson claims he will never win over all of the club’s fans after slamming the boo boys again.
The Trotters chief has never been the most popular appointment at the Reebok Stadium and was barracked on Tuesday night for substituting striker Ivan Klasnic in a bid to hold on to a 2-1 lead over fellow strugglers Hull.
The plan ultimately backfired but Megson has argued that it has worked in the past although he received no credit for his tactics at the time.
The former West Brom manager said: “There are probably 10 other clubs in the relegation zone this year and I'll bet there's no other team who have to play in these circumstances.
"None of the other teams down there have a similar situation but it happens and I have to get on with it. Do I think I'll ever be given a fair crack of the whip here? No."
Megson added: “I would make exactly the same decision I did to try to keep hold of the game and keep that momentum.
"I made it against Burnley in a game I felt was slipping away from us and we got a point and no-one says a word.
"I made exactly the same decision against West Ham at 2-1 and we went on to win that one 3-1. No-one says a word.”
