Robinho has confirmed to manager Roberto Mancini he wants to leave Manchester City to re-join Santos on loan. The 25-year-old scored the final goal in Sunday's 4-2 FA Cup win against Scunthorpe but is unhappy at his number of starts at Eastlands ahead of the World Cup in South Africa this summer. The £32.5m signing by former manager Mark Hughes played over 100 games for Brazilian club Santos before his big move to Real Madrid in 2005 and has openly expressed a desire to return to his homeland. Robinho, who is also wanted by Spanish champions Barcelona, told Brazilian radio station Radio Bandeirantes: "The directors all agree that it's better to send me out on loan. "It would be exceptional to return to Santos. "Playing for Santos would help me in my path to the World Cup. It is my home, I know everyone."
