Sol Campbell believes he can have a big impact on Arsenal's season as he prepares to finalise an incredible move back to the Gunners. The 35-year-old has been training with the north London club since walking away from League Two side Notts County after just one game with the Magpies. Campbell, whose last game before his appearance for the Arsenal reserves on Tuesday night was in the 2006 Champions League final, could go straight into the squad for Sunday's trip to Bolton if he can get pen-to-paper on his contract by the weekend. While the former England international has been training with Arsenal a number of clubs have enquired about his availability, including Hull City and Newcastle, but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has trumped them all by offering Campbell the chance to play for Arsenal again. Campbell is now set to sign a deal to keep him at the Emirates Stadium until the end of the season and says he couldn't be happier about his return. "There are still a few technicalities to iron out, but I have signed for Arsenal until the end of the season, and it's fantastic, great, marvellous," said Campbell. "The old enthusiasm is back. "I'm ecstatic really to be back at Arsenal, and I have worked bloody hard to get there." "Arsene Wenger has been an inspiration," he said. "He has watched me closely after letting me train at Arsenal for nearly two months now. "He's not stupid - he wouldn't have taken me back if he didn't like what he has seen, and I have worked and worked. I do believe I can contribute. "I really have my confidence and fitness back and I believe I can make a big, big contribution."
