Hull boss Phil Brown says there is a way back into his first-team plans for striker Jozy Altidore despite his recent disciplinary blunder.
The 19-year-old American striker arrived late at the KC Stadium for the clash with Portsmouth on Saturday and was immediately dropped from the squad which fought out a 0-0 draw.
To then compound matters, he apologised through his 'Twitter' site rather than in person to those concerned and that infuriated Brown even more.
The Tigers boss though says he has now forgiven the striker and insisted that Altidore is in contention for a place in the side at Burnley this weekend.
“He'll be back in contention for the weekend but it's up to him now to prove that he's deserving of a place,” Brown told the Hull Mail.
“He's 19, he's at the beginning of his career but Jozy is being paid an awful lot of money to play professional football and it's part and parcel of his working life to be professional.”
