Hull's record signing Jimmy Bullard is set for a return to the side for the clash with Stoke this weekend after recovering from injury. The £5 million former Fulham and Wigan midfielder has yet to make his Tigers home debut because after recovering from a long-term knee injury, he picked up a knock to his shin playing for the reserves two weeks ago which has kept him out. The shin injury resulted in swelling in the knee that had been previously injured but he came through a training session on Wednesday with no ill effects. The 31-year-old now looks set to run out at the KC Stadium on Saturday for a game which is being billed as potentially make-or-break for Hull boss Phil Brown. Brown has presided over a run of just three wins in 33 games and new chairman Adam Pearson admits results need to improve quickly. He said: “We're all in this together but we'll have to see what happens over the next couple of weeks."
