Fernando Torres has said sacking under-fire manager Rafael Benitez is not the answer to Liverpool's problems. An early exit from the group stages of the Champions League and deteriorating Premier League campaign have raised question marks about the Spaniard's future at Anfield. The Merseysiders have won just three times in 12 games in all competitions but star striker Torres feels the players should shoulder the blame. "I think sacking the manager is not a solution," said the Spain international. "We have to play much better. The players are the people that have to find a solution to the situation." Benitez only signed a new long-term contract last season and has insisted he will not walk away because of poor results. Torres added: "It's a difficult situation but every top team in the world goes sometimes through a bad situation like Liverpool now. "Like every top team in the world, Liverpool will get over the situation."
