Paul Scholes has warned Manchester United's domestic rivals that the champions are only just warming to the task of winning a record 19th league crown. The experienced midfielder has defended his club in the face of criticism from seasoned supporters that they have lost more than a touch of magic following the departures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez. United are just two points off leaders Chelsea in the Premier League and on Tuesday can claim a fourth straight Champions League win this season if they beat CSKA Moscow. One-club man Scholes agrees United have not quite hit their straps this season but the former England international is convinced his team-mates will find their rhythm. "I wouldn't say we've been stuttering, but we haven't been as fluent as we know we can be," the 34-year-old said in the Daily Mirror. He added: "We're not too worried about our form as traditionally we're not great at the start of the season. "The difference this time is that, more often than not, we've still been winning games. So I can't complain too much. But we would like to get back to the top of the Premier League - with style."
